Tokyo's tourist-free destination

Located just one stop away on subway from Tokyo’s coffee central, AKA Kiyosumi-Shirakawa and home of the capital’s first Blue Bottle location, Monzen-Nakacho is quintessially down to earth and casual in comparison to its lofty neighbour. Known as the capital’s ‘shitamachi’ or old town, it retains an Edo-era (1603-1868) ambience with Tomioka Hachiman Shrine and Fukagawa Fudoson Temple as they reflect the history.
