Onigiri, also known as o-musubi is a soul food for anyone grew up in Japan. It is made from white rice formed into triangular or round shapes and often wrapped in nori with ingredients range from pickled plum, salted salmon, katsuobushi, kombu, tarako to pickled daikon or any imaginable ingredients. Onigiri is associated with fondest memories of a child's mother as she makes origiri by hand for lunch, picnic, or public gatherings.
