Taiko drumming is one of the most dynamic musical performance that has been a part of the Japanese culture for centuries. This once one-man drumming evolved into a group performance called Kumi-daiko in 1951. The founder of Kodo, a group of worldly renowned Taiko performers is Daihachi Oguchi who introduced the world of Taiko music to the world through kumi-daiko.
