Some of the prepackaged miso soup base sold at stores may contain MSG.  While store-bought products provide convenience of simply taking the content out of the package and adding hot water, an alternative is to make the traditional Japanese soup from scratch that accelerate the flavor to the next level.  Chef Jet Tila demonstrates the art of miso making in this video.
