The chocolate industry is gearing up for the upcoming Valentine's day, but other industries are not letting the celebratory day pass by without taking advantage of this important marketing event. Kura Sushi, one of the leading sushi chains in Japan is serving Choco Buri (chocolate-fed yellowtail) on Valentine's day.
The farm-raised sushi-grade fish are raised with a unique feed that contains chocolate, developed in conjunction with the Ehime Research Institute of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. The chocolate contains polyphenols that are antioxidant and said to improve the color of the fish, making it look enticing for consumers.
