Casual Wankosoba Challenge in Morioka

Wankosoba challenge originated in Morioka attracts thousands of competitors on big events each year.  This unfortunately-named eating competition awards an honor to the winner who consume the most of the never-ending stream of buckwheat noodles.  The current Japanese record sits at an astonishing 570 bowls in a single sitting.
