Lunch is provided to the entire class at every single elementary school.  It's a law passed in 1954 called School Lunch Law. Aside from cooking, the class does everything else as they take turns setting tables and the serving counter, serving and clean up after lunch.

What does it take to own a ramen restaurant in Tokyo?

Owning a ramen restaurant is not for the faint of heart.  Mr. Kunimoto, the owner of Men Gokoro Kunimoto, a small hole in the wall restaurant works from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm 6 days a week.  He makes everything from scratch including noodles and soup stock.  The proud owner is lucky if he can take a 15-minute break in between at his busy restaurant.
