Chinatown in Yokohama which is about 30 miniute subway ride from the heart of Tokyo is the place to visit. The town's history dates back to 1859 when the port of Yokohama opened to foreign trade. It is now a thriving district with hundreds of stores and restaurants welcome tourists and locals. Many restaurant owners adjusted their cuisine to Japanese taste rather than serving authentic Chinese dishes in order to attract more customers.
